  A beautiful property furnished in welcoming and cosy style. Absolutely everything you could need, a proper home from home. Loved walking in the grounds with our two dogs, who permanently gazed out of the window to get out! It was lovely watching all the birds at the feeding stations out of the window. This is a walkers paradise. Very dog friendly place. Loved it.

  Jan has thought of everything. Beautiful, clean, well equipped with a lovely view of the countryside and the wildlife. The home-made treats were delicious and much appreciated.

  We were made to feel very welcome in this beautiful residence. Stunning grounds as you pull down the driveway, which we were invited to enjoy with the dogs. Fresh home-made scones on arrival. Cottage is lovely, comfortable, homely and well appointed. Fantastic location to enjoy the quiet. Would recommend some of the walks in the area where you can enjoy the sound of running water and the smell of trees.

  Fantastic cottage, part of a manor house. The property is immaculate, beautifully done and so comfortable. The grounds are huge, plenty of seating at various locations and a dedicated BBQ. Nothing to complain about. Even the welcome scones and chocolates were lovely. Local town is two miles away and has everything you need. Plus Gretna Outlet is 30 minutes and Dumfries 50 minutes. If you want a real escape, peace and quiet, I doubt there is anywhere better. 

  Beautiful, luxury accommodation in peaceful surroundings. Everything you could ask for and more besides were provided. The owners were lovely and nothing was too much trouble. Warm scones (home-made), truffles, rocky road and brownie bites were a lovely surprise. We will definitely be going back. 

  Fantastic week at the Courtyard Cottage, Craigcleugh. An amazing house in a gorgeous setting and the cottage was beautiful, so clean and comfortable and really well equipped – it really was a home from home. We were welcomed with truffles and scones and of course dog treats for our two dogs who loved it too! Jan and Tim were lovely. Will definitely be back with more of the family and I would highly recommend the cottages in wonderful surroundings in a great location with gorgeous walks. Thanks, Jan, for a lovely holiday x.

  Very cosy cottage, perfect for a countryside getaway with outdoor walking. We hope to return. Exceptionally clean, well equipped and tastefully decorated. Great Wi-Fi. Owners have thought of everything including walking maps and a torch. Brilliant nights sleep, but stairs to bathroom might be a bit steep for some. Great kitchen that is lovely to cook and relax in. 

  We loved our stay. The cottage was very cute and the grounds are amazing. Our hosts were friendly and accommodating. 

  We spent last week in Gardeners Cottage and Courtyard Cottage and had a wonderful time. They were really beautifully decorated and equipped with all you could wish for. There were lovely touches such as the scones and the truffles – delicious! Everything was new and nice – just what you needed after a day out. Beautiful house and surroundings. The boot room was great when you have wet coats and wellies – and you could even eat in the covered courtyard when it was raining. There is a BBQ and nice outdoor area for when the sun came out as well. We will be back and would recommend Craigcleuch to anyone considering staying. 

  This cottage exceeded our expectations. The hosts were welcoming and friendly and the surrounds were very picturesque. We would recommend this to anyone as we loved staying here. Some lovely extra touches with fresh scones and dog treats on our arrival. 

A home from home cottage, everything you need at hand. Glorious tranquil setting, peaceful and secluded. Extensive garden to roam surrounded by nature with attention to detail all around from the facilities in the cottage itself to the bird feeders and ornamental flower urns and pots around the property. After a day out exploring the Scottish Borders you are in awe as you drive down the beautiful driveway to your cottage. Tim and Jan are perfect owners and hosts. Highly recommended.
